National Night Out is a great community event that aims to bring people together with the goal of knowing your neighbor and enhancing police-community relations. We appreciate the work our neighborhoods have done to plan for National Night Out each year. Topeka was ranked 4th in the nation of population our size thanks to all our neighborhoods.
Safe Streets serves as coordinator for National Night Out for Topeka/Shawnee County. In our community, individual neighborhoods, Neighborhood Improvement Associations, Neighborhood Associations, apartments, Homeowner’s Associations, and senior living communities are encouraged to host events.
